Attestation is a process of authenticating genuineness of documents or certificates by a government agency of the certificate holder’s home country and by their concerned Embassies or High Commissions.

Personal documents or certificates like birth/ death/ marriage certificates, affidavits, power of attorney etc

Educational certificate or documents like degree/ diploma and matriculation etc)

Private Documents or certificate like experience certificate, chamber of commerce recommendation letter etc

Attestation Procedure for Educational Documents.

Step 1) Authentication by the concerned State Government authorities.

Step 2) Attestation by Ministry of External Affairs.

Step3)  Attestation by Embassy/Consulate.
